I have a closet of thin throws I regret. This one I actually had to lift with two hands out of the box. You can see the two layers at the fold. My sister came over and I literally handed it to her and said feel this.

Bought the Throw size for the cabin couch. From across the room it reads like a real hide - the spots have actual shading, not that repeated clipart look. Sherpa side against you is the part nobody warns you about.

Ordered the Queen for the guest bed after the throw size for the sectional. Measured twice, both fit exactly as listed. Washed the smaller one three times now and it still looks and feels the same - that was my main worry.

A double-sided throw built to end the cycle of ordering a thick blanket and unwrapping a printed bedsheet. One face is a photo-realistic spotted deer-hide print in fawn and cream with chestnut shading - it faces the room and does the decor work. The other face is plush white sherpa fleece with visibly higher loft - it faces you and does the warmth work. The two are bonded and stitched at the perimeter, so thickness is something you can see at the folded edge rather than something you have to take on faith.

It is a print, not a pelt. That's deliberate: you get the cabin-lodge look with none of the real-hide problems - no odor, no stiffness, no taxidermy energy, and it goes in your washing machine.

Available sizes:

  • 40" x 30" - Baby Size
  • 50" x 40" - X Size
  • 60" x 50" - Throw Size (best for a sofa or single-person couch use)
  • 80" x 60" - Twin Size (covers a tall adult full-length)
  • 90" x 90" - Queen Size (bed coverage)

Construction: Two bonded layers, stitched around the full perimeter.

  • Face A: brushed fleece with photo-realistic printed deer-hide pattern - fawn/tan ground, irregular cream-white spotting, chestnut tonal shading.
  • Face B: plush sherpa fleece pile in off-white/cream, higher loft than the print face.

Colorway: fawn/tan brown with cream-white spotting on the print face; off-white sherpa reverse.

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors. Use a mild detergent - skip fabric softener, which can flatten sherpa pile over time. Tumble dry on low, or lay flat to dry for best loft retention. Do not bleach and do not iron the printed face.

Wash it on its own or with soft items rather than crowding it in with towels and denim. To refresh the sherpa side after a few washes, a quick shake-out and low tumble brings the pile back up.

Printed Hide Face (outer)Layer 1
✓ Clinical Dose
Photo-realistic spotted deer-hide print on brushed fleece - irregular cream spotting with chestnut tonal shading, so it reads as hide at room distance instead of flat repeated clipart.
Plush Sherpa Reverse (inner)Layer 2
✓ Clinical Dose
Dense curled sherpa pile - visibly higher loft than the print face. This is the side that goes against you, and the reason the blanket has real body instead of hanging like a sheet.
Perimeter Bond & StitchEdge
✓ Clinical Dose
The two faces are bonded and stitched around the full perimeter - the fold at the edge is where you can literally see both layers stacked.
Size Range5 sizes
40"x30" Baby, 50"x40" X, 60"x50" Throw, 80"x60" Twin, 90"x90" Queen - one hide pattern across every room instead of a throw-only 50x60.
Not Animal HidePrint
This is a printed textile, not a pelt. That's the feature: no odor, no stiffness, no shedding hair - and nothing died for your couch.

What Customers Say

Real reviews from verified buyers

The last three throws I ordered were thinner than a bath towel and I had to double them over my legs. This one I don't. Weight in the hand is completely different - you can feel the sherpa side doing the work.
Paul H.
Held it up by one corner expecting it to float like a sheet. It hangs. That was enough for me.
Karen M.
Queen for the guest bed, Throw for the sectional arm. Dimensions were exact to the listing, which honestly surprised me after the last 'throw' I bought turned out to be lap sized.
Jenna L.
Got the Twin for my husband, he's 6'1 and it actually covers him on the recliner without his feet hanging out. Baby size went to my niece.
Marcus T.
I wanted the lodge look without an actual hide on the couch - stiff, smells, can't wash it. This gives the exact same visual and goes in the machine.
Anita S.
Everyone who comes over asks about it. The couch finally looks like a decision instead of a rental. Print side out during the day, sherpa side over me at night.

Double-Sided Sherpa Faux-Hide Throw

Every thick and cozy throw you ordered was one layer. This one is two.

Twenty-four out of a hundred people said their last one was thinner than a towel. That is what happens when there is only one layer.

The Construction

You can see the second layer at the edge.

1

One layer cannot be thick.

There is nothing to be thick with. A printed flannel throw is a single sheet of fabric with a pattern on it, which is why so many arrive feeling like a bath towel.

2

Ventra bonds two faces together.

A printed hide face on top, a plush sherpa reverse underneath, joined at the perimeter. Fold back a corner and the doubled seam is right there to see.

3

It hangs with weight.

Lift it out of the box and it falls with body instead of floating like a sheet. Thickness is something you verify, not something you have to trust.

Two Faces, One Throw

Deer hide facing the room. Sherpa facing you.

Hide side out

Draped across the couch, the room looks finished.

The printed hide face is the smooth, durable outer shell. Folded over the arm of a sectional it reads as decor, not as a blanket someone left there.

Sherpa side in

Flip it over you and the plush is what touches your skin.

Sherpa is the short, dense, curled pile on the reverse. It is the warm side, and it is the side you pull up to your chin at nine at night.

People ask whether to buy sherpa or fleece. Here you get both, bonded together - a printed fleece face and a sherpa reverse - and flipping between them is the whole point.

Construction Tiers

Three different products. Not the same thing at three prices.

Before you compare price, compare construction. These are not the same blanket made cheaper - they are built differently, and that is the whole reason they feel different.

The word that keeps coming up is heavy.

The throw in a customer's home

It has actual weight to it. I lifted it out of the box and just went oh.

Bought this after two cheap ones let me down. The difference is the second layer - you can literally feel the sherpa side is separate. It drapes over the sectional arm without sliding off, and the print holds up from across the room. First throw I have not regretted.

The throw in a customer's home

I bought it for my husband and he has not given it back. He is six foot one and the twin covers him head to toe. He keeps telling people to feel it.

The print does not look printed. That was my whole worry.

The throw in a customer's home

Got the queen for the guest room and it dresses the whole bed. Guests keep asking where it is from. It reads as real hide until you touch it, then it is just soft.

Genuinely thick and the hide print is the best I have seen. Only note is it is heavier than I expected, so if you wanted something light to carry around this is not that. For the couch it is perfect.

In The Room

The throw on your couch stops being a leftover and becomes a decision.

The throw folded over the arm of a sectional in a lamp-lit living room
7:40pm

Folded over the arm, before anyone sits down

This is the state it lives in most of the time - hide side out, folded across the arm of the sectional. It is the first thing you see when you walk into the room, and it is doing work even when nobody is under it.

A woman with her feet up under the sherpa side of the throw
8:15pm

Feet up, sherpa side turned in

One corner of the hide print stays visible over the top. Nobody is doubling it over their legs to get warm, which is the whole difference from the last three.

The throw draped over a recliner in a cabin-styled den
The den

Over the recliner in the cabin room

This is where the print earns its keep - against wood, against leather, against a room that already leans rustic. It reads as part of the room rather than a thing laid on top of it.

Same hide, four rooms, one evening. That is what a finished room looks like.
